The BlackHawk Rope Guard is an absolute must when rappelling or climbing around sharp edged rooftops or rock faces. The Rope Guard is made of four layers of 1000 denier Cordura nylon which provides maximum rope protection. It fits around your rope using Velcro. To secure the Rope Guard in place on the rope, BlackHawk has provided a tie down webbing loop and nylon 550 cord.
