-Privacy Policy

HS Gear is committed to your privacy. To that end, we have an iron-clad privacy policy here. You submit certain non-public information to us for the purpose of transacting business. We hold that information as confidential, but we do have to use it. Here's how we use your information:

  1. We transmit your credit card and address data to our merchant services provider to obtain authorization for the charges. 

  2. If you placed a large order or ordered specialty items, we may give your address to our manufacturer/wholesaler for the purpose of drop shipping your products to you. 

  3. Your address information is electronically provided to our shipping vendors (i.e., FedEx, UPS) so that they may deliver your package to you. 

  4. Your information is stored on our servers so that we may retain your information for future orders. Your credit card data is automatically purged 30 days after your transaction.

We don't sell or share your information with anyone other than our shippers, your credit card bank, and our credit card processors. Your trust in us is important. We won't even tell your spouse you were here.

- Return Policy

We try to provide the best selection of products available at competitive prices. We deal with quality manufacturers and reputable brands so that you can rely on our products. The gear we sell is top-notch. We don't sell seconds or rejects without letting you know. Our return policy, however, is pretty strict. Here's the deal:
  1. Once you place an order into our system, it's considered "final" after 2 hours. If you cancel the order after that time, we'll charge you a restocking fee of 20%. This is because we've already placed the order with the manufacturer, and we're on the hook for the bill.

  2. Defective items (i.e., broken, ripped, etc...) will be exchanged for the same or similar item at no additional charge to you. Just email sales@hsgear.biz to obtain a return authorization and ship it back. We'll make it right!

  3. ALL returns must be authorized in advance. We take no responsibility for any return sent without authorization. All returns must be in the original packaging in new, saleable condition with all documentation and promotional items. There will be a 20% restocking fee on all returns. Shipping is not refundable.

  4. Exchanges for a different size are allowed, but must be authorized in advance. You may still have to pay the 20% restocking fee.

- Substitutions

We reserve the right to substitute a comparable item of same or better quality as the one you ordered to fill your order. This is most typically in the form of substituting a brand name for another brand name (i.e., Tru-Spec BDU's for Rothco). Rest assured, we will never substitute an item to your detriment. The way we figure it, a brown cotton T-shirt is the same thing regardless of the label, same goes for a 1 quart canteen. We won't send you a different fabric, a different color, or a totally different pack. If you absolutely, positively have to have the exact item you ordered online, just let us know - we won't substitute something if you tell us not to.

- Shipping Policy

We only ship to domestic (as in US) addresses or to APO's for our soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airmen. We only ship to the address listed on your credit card to prevent fraud. This is for your protection. By default, we will ship to you by either UPS or US Postal Service Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. We reserve the right to select the carrier of our choosing at the time of order processing. Ground service is affordable, reliable, and convenient. If you want something to be shipped faster, we will ship by air freight upon request, typically using Express Mail. This doesn't mean your order will come the next day - just that it'll be shipped to you the day after it gets to us. We cannot tell you when an order will arrive in our offices from the manufacturers, so shipping overnight doesn't really make a lot of sense. Shipping fees are not refundable.

- Restricted Items

Some of the items we sell are restricted to public safety, law enforcement, or military personnel. We will not ship these items, or even confirm the order, until we've assured you're eligible to buy them. These items are clearly labeled in our store. Some examples are automatic knives and ballistic products. These items are restricted usually in response to a federal law, but sometimes as an ethical restriction. For example, we won't sell anything that's designed to evade legitimate law enforcement tools or metal detectors. You won't find "CIA Letter Openers" here, or for that matter, anything else that is designed to avoid public safety systems or intended to harm soldiers or law enforcement officers. We do this not only for security reasons, but out of respect to our friends in the military, law enforcement and security communities. We're public safety professionals ourselves, and we frankly wouldn't want somebody selling this stuff to the people we have to deal with.

- Firearms and Accessories

We don't sell firearms. Not because we're against them, but simply because the paperwork is a nightmare. We sell tons of stuff that will make the time you spend with your favorite weapon more enjoyable. Slings, mag pouches, holsters, etc... are all available here. Just not the weapon. We will sell firearm modifications and certain parts - sling mounts, sights, scopes, grips, etc... as they don't require a Federal Firearms License. You won't find trigger groups, lower receivers, bolts, etc... from us. We suggest you make friends with your armorer or local gunsmith. Your local gun store will likely have fantastic levels of expertise, experience, and know-how to get you anything your  little heart desires.
